Accelerated Music Program
This summer (July 2 - Aug 24), FCM students get to learn a new instrument (or continue with their current instrument) with our weekly instrumental classes and daily guided practice sessions! The FCM Summer Music Academy is an accelerated music training program that helps students develop music literacy through daily exercises in ear training, choral singing, rhythm training and drum circle. In addition, students participate in ensemble training, and discover music history, composers and performers through guest lectures and multimedia coaching. Integrated Learning - Math, Chinese, Art & Craft, Dance, Chess and Games Besides music training, students also spend a few hours learning math and Chinese. They get to bring home their crafts, learn different types of Chess and work out during Rhythmic Gymnastics. Every Friday is Special Event Day Having perspectives is important for musical development. Every Friday, students gain perspectives with unique activities. Indoor activities include special workshops, movies, community projects and visits by guest artists. Once a month, students may perform at nearby community events, attend concerts or participate in local walks/tours. Early Application and Scholarship students will receive reduced tuition rates starting at $56/day for full day program. Please note that curriculum are subject to customization and/or changes. Full-day tuition includes lunch, snacks, course and craft materials. No early drop off fee from 8:30am. No late stay fee until 6pm. Homework and reading help provided. |
